Leasing Procedures

If a program participant chooses one of your rental units, it is understood that all agreements regarding day-to-day living will be between you and the participating family.

Step 1. Both the tenant and the owner complete the Request for Tenancy Approval (RFTA) form. The tenant will supply you with this form.

Step 2. The tenant or the landlord immediately returns the completed Request for Tenancy Approval (RFTA) form to the Housing Authority.

Step 3. The Housing Authority will contact the landlord to schedule the Housing Quality Standards Inspection.

Step 4. Once the property has passed inspection, the owner and the family will meet with the HCV Leasing Specialist to sign a HAP contract and lease.
